Senate Committee Hearing On The Harrisburg Incinerator Forensic Audit Set for October 4th

WHO: Senate Local Government Committee

WHAT: Public Hearing

WHEN: Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: Hearing Room 1, North Office Bldg, State Capitol Complex, Harrisburg, PA

The Local Government Committee announced that the committee has re-scheduled its first hearing on issues raised by the forensic investigative audit of debt incurred in connection with The Harrisburg Authority Resource Recovery Facility project.

The hearings will be open to the public.  Expected to testify are members of the forensic investigation team, as well as representatives of state and local government entities

I wonder if they'll take a look at how the incinerator's finances really played out, and how correct I was when, in 2003, I warned City Council that borrowing more money to rebuild the incinerator would put the city into bankruptcy.
