New Website Launches To Collect Petition Signatures Against Continued Prohibition On Bankruptcy
via press release issued by Harrisburg Councilman Brad Koplinski, May 31, 2012:
Economicjusticeforharrisburg.com will advocate and inform residents on fiscal crisis
Earlier today, the majority of City Council held a press conference to state its opposition to any move by the legislature or the Governor to extend the ban on municipal bankruptcy past the current one that expires on June 30, 2012.
To get people involved in supporting this effort, I announced a new website to advocate for Harrisburg residents and taxpayers and collect signatures on a petition that urges the legislature and the Governor not to pass or sign any laws extending the prohibition on bankruptcy that expires on June 30, 2012.
The website is www.Economicjusticeforharrisburg.com. It will allow people to sign the petition, review important documents, get updates on the fiscal crisis and give them other ways to advocate for the city and the taxpayers in it. It will be updated shortly with more information.
